Travel Ideas

Don't forget to bring your travel ideas on down to my house Sunday. We'll meet, sort of informally, to discuss some possible trips for the spring and summer.

My ideas include:
South Dakota Badlands/Black Hills/Yellowstone
Chiricahua/Cochise Stronghold/Casas Grandes
Bryce Canyon/Mesa Verde
Cumberland Gap/Blue Ridge Mountains

But, I'm flexible.

A few of us recently traveled in central Mexico, northern Arizona, northern Arkansas, southern New Mexico and can offer some information if you may be thinking of venturing there.

We'll meet around 8:00 pm on Sunday, January 10, after The Simpsons and The PJ s (new show). You're, of course, welcome to come around 7:00 for the weekly TV spectacle. Email me at mlacy@bayou.uh.edu, or call 713-521-3686 if you want to come by on Sunday, but don't know where I live.

See you then.

And, from the desk of Kilian:

(Tonight!) Texas Guinness Lovers have the whole night to themselves at the Fabulous Satellite Lounge, Thursday, January 7th, 1999. They'd like nothing more than a full dance floor. So grab your pardner and swing by.

Expect a guest appearance from the lovely Diane Koistenin (de Schmog and former Guinness Lover turned lady-on-the-scene-in-NYC).

World Music

I won't be DJing on the 11th or the 18th of January, but don't worry, I'll play requests I receive via email when I return on the 25th. In the mean time, I'll be in Mississippi collecting some interesting music, visiting the Delta Blues Museum in Clarksdale and touring some Indian Mound sites. World Music will still be on as usual this Monday from 7 - 10 pm.
