La Tienda:
If you shop on the Internet, try our new cyber shelves. La Tienda is our new on-line store for books, films and educational items recommended by the Houston Institute for Culture. When you link to BarnesAndNoble.com, Reel.com and SmarterKids.com from our site, we receive a small commission of 3% - 8% of your purchases. By clicking the links to these companies' sites, your purchase price is not affected, but you have to go to the sites using the links on our pages for us to get credit for the commission. We will use that commission to promote our site and to sponsor educational programs.

We don't encourage you to shop on the Internet. You should buy from locally-owned businesses whenever possible.
